…To Give Education Facelift in Okigwe South,purchase transformers

It was beehive of activities at Umuawaeke community in Amainyi,Ihitte/Uboma LGA of Imo Stte, as member representing Obowo, Ihitte/Uboma and Ehime Mbano at the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor Ph.D, commissioned constructed and equipped ultra modern Health Centre, he attracted for the community, last Friday.
Okafor, in his address explained that he will ubiquitously continue to prioritize the overall development of his people without compromise, maintaining that he wouldn’t have seek for political office if not to bring change and make a difference.
He said that the project commissioning was in-line with the vision of the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma’s vision to make healthcare services more affordable and accessible to all Imolites. He poured encomiums on the Governor for his giant strides across the State, with particular reference to the completed Owerri-Mbaise-Obowo-Umuahia road project, which he described as one of the signature projects of the 3R government.
The ranking Federal Lawmaker maintained that in his priority this year will focus on reconstruction and equipping of schools across the federal constituency to give education a facelift in the Constituency,adding that all non-functional transformers across Okigwe South, will equally be replaced to make life more meaningful to the people.
Earlier in his speech, Imo State Commissioner for Health, Dr Prosper Success Ohayagha, praised Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor, for his tremendous contributions in solving the healthcare problem of his people which according to him, is inline with Governor Uzodimma’s broader vision of improving Imo people’s access to medical facilities. Summing up, he asserted that the project will remarkably bridge the gap on access to quality healthcare particularly to undeserved rural communities.
Also the LGA Chairman, Hon. Prince Obioha Ndukwe, eulogized Hon. Okafor for his visionary leadership and quality representation to the people of Okigwe South, according to him, the Lawmaker has shown his unbiased and unblemished nature as a leader, promises to partner with him for the development of the area.
While making his remarks, the Speaker of Imo House of Assembly, Hon. Chike Olemgbe, noted that he has lost counts of the people oriented projects of Hon. Dcn. Chike Okafor in Ihitte Uboma LGA maintaining that the health centre is not the first nor will it be the last. He disclosed that some politicians will start foundation of a project without finishing it, positing that he has relentlessly continued to provide democratic benefits with utmost implementation across the Federal Constituency, and urged him to keep it up.
In her brief contributions, the Executive Secretary of Imo State Primary Healthcare Development Agency Rev. Sis. Maria Joannes Uzoma, who expressed surprised at what she saw on ground, seeks for a harmonious working relationship between the community and staff of the health centre in order to properly maintain the already established standard. She showered praises on Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor for the wonderful initiative and urged other lawmakers to emulate him.
Commissioner for Water Resources Barr. Ozo Obinna,Hon. Kelechi Ofurum,(Ow. North State Lawmaker ), including many political leaders and traditional rulers from Ihitte Uboma LGA, graced the occasion. While on Hon. Okafor’s include, Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Onwueyiagba, former Commissioner for youths and talent, Dr. Godric Anosike, former commissioner for health,Chief Chidi Nwoke, former T.C Chairman of Obowo LGA, Prof. Emma Ibekwe, Hon.
