Imo State Government has reiterated it’s determination to partner Heart and Roses Cancer Advocacy Foundation,a Nongovernmental foundation that is poised to educate the masses on the dangers of Cancer and how to combat it.
The Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation and Strategy, Hon. Declan Emelumba disclosed this when the members of the foundation paid him a courtesy visit in his office, at the State Secretariat Complex, Owerri.
He commended the founder of the foundation, Dr. Dozie Chinonso Patricia for her compassion towards humanity, by embarking on awareness creation on the causes, dangers and how to combat cancer disease.
Emelumba said, ” To save life is in line with Gods injunction in the Bible to be our brothers keeper”, and it is all’s a demonstration of love to humanity.
He therefore assured the foundation of the readiness of the Ministry to partner with them, in publicizing all their activities in order to create more awareness about the disease and how to combat it.
In her speech, the founder of the NGO Dr. Dozie Chinonso Patricia said that the foundation is passionate and determined to educate the masses on dangers of the Cancer disease and the need for early dictation, noting that the disease when dictated early is curable.
It will be recalled that the NGO had earlier paid a visit to the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru, at her office.
