High Chief Sir PMC Okeke has been conferred with another High Chieftaincy title by His Royal Majesty, Eze C.O. Okafor, the traditional ruler of Umuawuchi, Uboma, in Ihitte/Uboma Local Government Area of Imo State.

The ceremony took place on Tuesday, December 31, 2025, at the palace of the traditional ruler, in the presence of the Eze’s wife, Ugoeze Eunice Okafor, members of the traditional council, cabinet members, and other palace chiefs.

While appreciating the honour bestowed on him, High Chief Sir PMC Okeke described the title as a rare privilege and a call to deeper service to the people of Umuawuchi and Uboma in general. He expressed profound gratitude to His Royal Majesty and the royal household for finding him worthy, noting that the conferment has formally made him a member of the Eze’s family. He pledged to uphold the customs and traditions of the land and to continue contributing to the peace, unity, and development of the community.

In his remarks, His Royal Majesty, Eze C.O. Okafor, praised High Chief Sir PMC Okeke for his commitment to community development and his consistent support for the progress of Umuawuchi.

The monarch described him as a true son of the soil whose character and contributions reflect the values of the land, adding that the chieftaincy title was well deserved. He urged the new chief to see the honour as a responsibility to do more for the people and to serve as a worthy ambassador of the community at all times.
