…As Summit Holds January, 4,2025
The organizers of the much publicized Imo Diaspora Summit which is scheduled to take place in Owerri, on January,4,2025,said they event will be one that will focus on economic growth, preservation of cultural heritage in the State.
Briefing Journalists during an interface held at the NUJ State council Secretariat,on Friday, December,27,2025.
The President General of Imo State Leadership in Diaspora Forum Worldwide, Chief Engr. Samson Udeh, hinted that the organization is dedicated in addressing the economic challenges facing the State, and they will be profiling solutions.
Announcing the theme of the summit, “ALA IMO GA-DI NMA”, Engr. Udeh, listed the key topics that will be treated during the summit which he said will be more of a discussant one, they include; Economic growth and development in Imo State, preservation of cultural heritage and traditions, role of Imolites in diaspora in contributing to development of Imo State.
Others include, Agribusiness, healthcare, education, power and energy, creative entertainment, manufacturing,real estate, tourism,among others.
The Diasporan mentioned that the target audience at the summit are Imo State indigenes, diaspora community members, business leaders, policymakers, and anyone interested in contributing to the development of Imo State.
” We want to foster collaboration between leadership of diasporans, Imo State government and stakeholders”. Udeh stated
Other executives who joined the President General at the briefing are, High Chief Louis Ononiwu, Director of Media and Strategy and President General Imo State Union Cote D’Ivoire, Hon. Cyprain Ofoegbu Ezem, Treasurer and President Ndi Imo na Belgium, Hon. Samuel Uche Ugwuegbu, member and President Imo progressive Union Madrid Spain.
