High Chief Dr. Eze Okubuiro Foundation Awards Scholarships to Outstanding Students in Imo

The High Chief Dr. Eze Okubuiro Foundation has awarded scholarships to deserving students from Ihitte-Uboma Local Government Area of Imo State as part of its continued commitment to education, youth empowerment, and community development.

In separate scholarship letters dated February 16, 2026, the foundation offered full sponsorship to beneficiaries who distinguished themselves in its recent JAMB/UTME sponsorship programme.

Among the beneficiaries is Miss Chukwukere Mary-Dominica Ihechi of Umuihi Ancient Kingdom, who received a scholarship to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Biochemistry at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State. The scholarship covers her tuition fees for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Mr. Chijioke Uchenna Okubuiro was awarded a scholarship to pursue a National Diploma in Science Technology at Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Imo State. His scholarship package includes tuition fees, accommodation, and monthly maintenance stipends for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 academic sessions.

Similarly, Mr. Justice Udochukwu Nathan of Ihinna Autonomous Community received sponsorship to study Mechanical Engineering at Federal Polytechnic Nekede, with full tuition coverage for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Speaking on the initiative during a phone conversation with IKoro Okigwe, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, High Chief Dr. Eze Okubuiro, said education remains the strongest tool for transforming society.

“We believe that investing in education is investing in the future of our community. These young scholars have demonstrated excellence and determination, and it is our duty to support them in achieving their academic dreams.”

He further emphasized that the foundation’s scholarship programme is designed not only to ease the financial burden on families but also to inspire a culture of academic excellence.

“Our vision is to raise a generation of responsible leaders and professionals who will give back to society. Service to humanity is service to God, and we remain committed to supporting bright minds across Ihitte-Uboma and beyond.”

The foundation encouraged the beneficiaries to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to their studies, while urging other students to strive for excellence in their academic pursuits.

The scholarship initiative underscores the foundation’s dedication to advancing education and sustainable community development in Imo State.
