The Council Secretariat was commissioned by the Anglican Bishop of the Diocese of Isi Mbano, His Lordship, the Rt. Rev’d Godson Udochukwu Ukanwa, Ph.D., JP, while the Corps Members’ Lodge was commissioned by the APC candidate for Okigwe North Federal Constituency, Hon. Uchenna Agasu.

The projects, executed under the administration of Hon. Evang. Chika Okoroike, further demonstrate the Chairman’s commitment to improving the welfare and working environment of council employees, while also providing a conducive and comfortable accommodation facility for members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) deployed to serve in Isiala Mbano LGA.

Performing the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Secretariat, Bishop Ukanwa described Hon. Evang. Chika Okoroike as a leader committed to laying a solid foundation for the benefit of both present and future generations.

He noted that the Chairman had continued to prioritize service to the people above political accolades, while commending him for the projects delivered by his administration.

According to the Bishop, the developments represented significant milestones in the history of Isiala Mbano Local Government Area.

He further called on stakeholders, community leaders and council workers to continue supporting the administration, while encouraging the Chairman to sustain his efforts toward the development of the LGA.

Bishop Ukanwa also expressed the view that giving the Chairman more time to continue with his development initiatives would enable him to consolidate on the projects and programmes already embarked upon by his administration.

Speaking during the commissioning of the Corps Members’ Lodge, Hon. Uchenna Agasu, the APC candidate for Okigwe North Federal Constituency, described Hon. Okoroike as a goal-getter and commended him for what he described as his genuine love and commitment to the welfare and development of youths.

Other speakers at the event also commended the Chairman’s achievements within his two years in office, describing the projects and other accomplishments of the administration as significant milestones in the development of the Local Government Area.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by traditional rulers, community leaders, political stakeholders, council officials, religious leaders, members of the National Youth Service Corps and other dignitaries, who gathered to witness the unveiling and commissioning of the projects.
