As part of the consolidation of his laudable policy on education quality enhancement, the second batch of capacity building training and empowerment, organized by the Senator representing Imo East Senatorial District, Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi, for science teachers in private and public schools in Owerri Zone, Imo State, will take place Thursday, February 13, and Friday, February 14, 2025.
The vision behind this initiative of building the capacity of teachers in the zone, is to leverage continuous training and retraining of teachers, to accelerate quality teaching and learning in Owerri Zone, with a view to meeting global education quality standards.
Senator Onyewuchi continues to vigorously implement his education agenda, which has infrastructure and human capital development as its major planks. This agenda itself is an integral part of his overall vision to leverage human capital development, particularly skills training and empowerment, to foster growth and development in Owerri zone, and the State.
Some other trainings and empowerments the Senator has organized in recent times, in line with this vision are : Teachers Capacity Building Training on the Use of New Technologies in Teaching and Learning; 2 batches training on Solar Installation and Maintenance, Woodwork, Modern Welding Methods, Graphics, Website Design, Computer Appreciation, Videography and Photography, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Marketing, Software Development Level One and Software Development Level Two.
The capacity building training with the theme: ‘Modern Technological Trends and Teaching Practices ‘ will take place at ADFIBBS Hall, All Saints Cathedral, Egbu,by 8am each day, with all selected beneficiaries expected to be at venue at the time stated above.
