Trust God in Trying Times, Lady Ekomaru Urges Imo Residents

Imo State Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Lady Chinyere Ihuoma Ekomaru, PhD, has called on residents of the state to put their trust in God, especially in moments of hardship and uncertainty. She gave the admonition on Friday during the Night of Mega Praise, a special worship event organised by Lifegate Outreach Ministries, Lagos, and held at the Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu Square, Owerri.
Addressing the large congregation, Lady Ekomaru urged Imolites to “let go and let God,” noting that divine intervention remains the most dependable solution when challenges exceed human capacity. She encouraged those burdened by personal worries, stress, or anxiety to take their troubles to God, assuring that He alone provides true comfort and peace.
Representing the Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Deputy Governor expressed deep appreciation to the organisers of the event, particularly the President of Lifegate Outreach Ministries, Rev. Chris Paul Nwuche, whom she described as a proud son of Imo State. She commended the ministry for choosing Imo as the host state and contributing to its spiritual upliftment.
Lady Ekomaru also called on Imolites in various fields across Nigeria and beyond to adopt an “Imo-first” mindset by returning with their investments, innovations, and initiatives. She highlighted that the Governor has continued to strengthen peace and development across the state, making Imo an attractive destination for investors, tourists, and organisers of large-scale religious programmes.
In his sermon, Rev. Chris Paul Nwuche preached passionately about the unconditional love of God, urging worshippers to embrace repentance and godliness. He emphasised that God’s love brings forgiveness, favour, and abundant blessings to all who genuinely turn to Him.
The Night of Mega Praise attracted thousands of worshippers from Imo State and beyond. The event featured energetic performances from various gospel artistes, providing attendees with moments of intense worship, spiritual renewal, and revival.
