All is now set for the official flag-off of the 8th edition of the Okeosisi Football Competition, organised by the Okeosisi Humanitarian Foundation under the leadership of its President, Hon. Henry Ekene Ibejiuba.
The highly anticipated grassroots football tournament, involving teams from Nkwere, Nwangele, Isu, and Njaba, will commence today, marking another milestone in Hon. Ibejiuba’s commitment to promoting unity, youth development, and community engagement.
This year’s competition promises thrilling fixtures, beginning with the opening match between participating communities at the Central School Field, Umundugba, Isu LGA.
Speaking ahead of the kick-off, Hon. Ibejiuba expressed his excitement about sustaining a tradition that has become a symbol of peace, sportsmanship, and talent discovery in the region. He emphasized that the foundation remains dedicated to empowering young people and strengthening social bonds through sporting activities.
The tournament will run throughout December, with the grand finale scheduled for December 30, 2025.
