Following the dumping of People’s Democratic Party,PDP, by the immediate past Governor of Imo State, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, on April,23,2024, there are indications that his political direction is taking a new mellow drama.
Ihedioha who will be clocking 60 years on March, 24,2025,is said to be planning a big political come back to the PDP,even though he has experienced open clashes with the party, although there has been widespread speculations that the former ranking Federal Lawmaker is joining camps with former governor of Kaduna State Nasir El-Rufai who is now piloting the affairs of the Social Democratic Party,(SDP), probably rooting as it’s Presidential candidate in the 2027 elections.
In a telephone conversation with IKORO OKIGWE,a special aide to Ihedioha, Mr. AIC Akwarandu said that the rumours about his boss joining the SDP is unfounded, alleging that those who parade such are political opponents who are jittery about his wizardry in politics, especially in Imo State.
” There is no political declaration by Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha for now we are planning on his big event which is his 60th birthday coming up on March 24. For now the rumours of Ihedioha joining SDP is false”. Says Akwarandu.
