Double Shillings Group /Chimamanda Motors CEO Dr Ikenna Chiedozie Aniche (Nke Nke Enyi Izuogu Gburu Gburu 1-12) has called on everyone to immediately discontinue dishing our Sympathy messages and condolences and stop playing politics or be sentimental about the recent fire incident at Eke okigwe market.

The president of Nke Nke Enyi Izuogu foundation for the needy and the aged passionately said that whatever gestures well meaning Okigwe Sons and daughters have to support the numerous victims of the fire incident should be activated immediately must be done in good faith.
Nke Nke Enyi Izuogu gburu gburu 1-12 made the call while on commiseration visit to the market yesterday Tuesday 30th of June 2026
He called on relevant NGO’s, humanitarian agencies, real and not seasonal foundations to swiftly bring succour to the victims who all have families and whose sole means of livelihood were now mere ashes.
*Nke Nke Enyi Izuogu Foundation for the needy and the aged express deep sadness over the Eke okigwe fire incident which is deeply regretted. This is another notable reminder that signals complete failure in our system. If Eke okigwe that shares the okpara road and 100metres from the fire service okigwe could be allowed to burn this way. Then there is a huge problem. This is also a wake up call to choose wisely as we elect our representatives soon. The people elected to protect the life and properties of everyone living within the borders of okigwe should take absolutely absolute responsibility for this failure*
Nke Nke Enyi Izuogu charged the relevant offices to urgently get the statistical data of all the traders affected in the fire inferno as a first step to identifying modalities of how to restore each and everyone out of poverty.
“Every Occurrences either destructive or constructive should not be used to play politics but assisting, helping the victims to revive their businesses to take care of their family is enough campaign by any politician and the best thing to do for the victims and stop dishing out press releases sympathising with the victims. They have families too.
This is a clarion call to put heads together and rally round our brothers and sisters who at this point need help.
