…As Eze Ohanweh insist on Okigwe zone producing Governor
… Hails Uzodimma on award, Orlu zone for support

A socio – economic and political organization In Imo state dubbed as Okigwe Elders Global Forum has backed the call by one of its pioneer member, leader and a billionaire entrepreneur from Okigwe zone , Chief Tony Chukwu countering the assertion by Chief Leo Stan Eke, insisting that Equity demands that Okigwe Zone produces the next Imo Governor.
It will be recalled that recently during a reception hosted by Chief Leo Stan Ekeh of Zinox group of companies, in honour of the Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma,after receiving an award of Infrastructural Governor of the year by Vanguard, held at Lagos State.
Chief Ekeh opined that it is the turn of Owerri zone to produce the next Governor of Imo State after the tenure of Uzodimma, of which Chief Tony Chukwu opposed stressing that Okigwe zone deserve to take over having been marginalized for decades.
The Okigwe Elders Global Forum ably led by HRH Eze Dr. Oliver Ohanweh, as Chairman with other Okigwe Sons and Daughters unanimously endorsed the position of Chief Chukwu that zoning arrangements favors Okigwe Zone and further maintained their readiness to present a credible and acceptable candidate for Ndi Imo.
Eze Ohanweh congratulated Governor Uzodimma on his award as Vanguard Infrastructure Governor of the year, pouring encomiums on him for his numerous contribution towards the development of Okigwe Zone.
He opined that the award is well deserving. The group expressed gratitude to the Governor for his giant strides in the development Imo state.
Finally they pledged their unflinching support for the 3R administration, while expressing trust that Uzodimma will apply wisdom and principle of Charter of Equity in producing his successor from Okigwe zone.
Also conveyed their appreciation to the good people of Orlu Zone for supporting Okigwe aspiration.
