… Says Govt working hard for positive society
The Deputy Governor of Imo State, Dr. Chinyere Ekomaru has hailed the organizers of the just concluded Mr and Mrs Imo pageantry for their efforts in making promoting the State as hub of entertainment and hospitality.
She disclosed this when she received the winners of the Pageantry show Mr Martin Agunenye ,(Mr Imo) and Ms Eberechi Nwanegwo,(Miss Imo),alongside the runners up who paid a visit to her office, on Wednesday.
Ekomaru championed the youthful winners to be great ambassadors of the State by preaching about the hospitality and enabling environment created by the Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma for investments to flourish, also charged them to institute programs that will help alleviate the challenges of the girld child and less privileged in the society.
” I appreciate beauty and brain,kudos to the organizers. Don’t relent in impacting good morals in the society, create advocacy shows that will project the hospitality of Imo State. Be good ambassadors, reach out to the girl child and less privileged in the State”. Imo Deputy stated
She also poured encomiums on the State Ministry of Youths and Talent Hunt, for their role towards promoting visionary ideas that has positively shaped the minds of Imo youths, as she opined that the 3R administration of Governor Uzodimma has established various State Ministries targeted at reach out to the youths, and also engaging them in meaningful works away from the streets.
The Commissioner for Youths and Talent Hunt, Emeka Mandela Ukaegbu while thanking the Deputy Governor for the warm reception,hinted that competition was held in the 27 Local government areas of the State, where the best of the best emerged,adding that the agency that organized the pageantry show has been in the business for over 15 years and this year event tagged “Talent Hunt “came alongside with thee agency’s anniversary.
In his remark the Organizer of the show Mr. Chris Ikoku hinted that their visit is to seek motherly advise and also present the winners to the number two Imo citizen, while disclosing that the winners will be heading to the national pageantry show this year.
Miss Imo, Eberechi Nwanegwo in her vote of thanks on behalf of the winners,while commending the Deputy Governor, promised that they will abide by her advise in projecting the State in good light.
