Imo-born Philanthropist Mr. Goodluck Nwaneri,has flagged off the distribution of free fuel to 4,000 commercial bus drivers otherwise known as BusImo, held at Owerri capital city of Imo State.

Speaking to newsmen at the commencement of the exercise held at Cocean Filling Station Amakohia, Owerri North, on Wednesday.
The coordinator of the foundation, Favour Amajionyi, disclosed that the intensions of the sponsor Mr. Nwaneri,is to put smiles on the faces of the bus drivers whom she said are battling with hardship

As she further opined that the exercise will be a one week event and will get to commercial bus drivers who ply major roads in the metropolis, as fuel stations located at Owerri-Umuahia road, Owerri-Okigwe road,Owerri-Onitcha road, and Owerri-Orlu road have all be listed as point place to collect the premium spirit.
” About 4,000 commercial BusImo drivers are getting free fuel courtesy of our foundation, this is a way of reducing the hardship drivers face everyday, we want to put smiles on their faces”. She said
Also adding his voice the Director General of the foundation, Excel Ikechukwu,said that the level of hardship in the State made his boss embark on the free distribution of fuel to help the people especially the commercial drivers.
” When my Principal returned the other time,he drove round the state and saw the level of hardship on the faces of the people especially the commercial drivers.
In Owerri today everywhere is scanty, people are no longer moving the way they do because of how difficult things are these days. We decided to use this medium to help our people especially the commercial drivers so that things will be easy for them, there is nothing political about it, Mr. Goodluck Nwaneri is a business and not a politician “. A beneficiary Mr. Gospel Ozioma Unegbu,Chairman Amakohia/Akwakuma BusImo drivers association,said ” we are so happy that it came at the right time when things are hard in the State, not everybody can do this which the young man has done especially bringing out his time and money to see us smile”. He stated
Another beneficiary, Mrs. Oriaku Adaobi Akalonu who said she is a trader and a commercial driver, said,” I am lucky,I came to buy fuel this morning and I was told that their is a philanthropist that is giving free fuel, I immediately queued in”.
