…commends Uzodimma for fight against insecurity, challenges stakeholders to support the rights of childrenÂ
It was beehive of activities at the Isinweke council headquarters of Ihitte/Uboma Local government area, Imo State, as children from all sectors of learning,stakeholders, traditional rulers and special guest gathered in their colourful attire to mark May 27,2025 children’s day celebration hosted by the Council Chairman, Hon. Prince Obioha Ndukwe.


ikoro Okigwe gathered that since 2021 when insecurity commenced in the council area all activities were kept on low at the LG headquarters including the annul celebration of children, as many residents including stakeholders deserted for safety.

The coming of Prince Obioha Ndukwe as elected Chairman of the council can be said to have returned liveliness in the area with events been organized at the mini stadium of Ihitte/Uboma LGA headquarters Isinweke, following a combined fight against insecurity at the area between State government and the council, which has restored public trust.
In his address Hon. Obioha commended the development sensitive demeanor of the Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, whose proactive nature has provided the much needed atmosphere for celebration in Ihitte/Uboma, providing security and some level of unprecedented ease of existence that has made celebration possible for Ihitte Uboma Children.


The Children’s day celebration message of the Executive Chairman was capped by the address of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the day which launched the nationwide, “See something, Say something, Do something” campaign, as he called on all stakeholders to embed the Child rights policy for the safety of our Children.
Highpoint of the event was display of talents,march-past, cultural dance and choreographies by the participating schools, which attracted gift items, cash rewards from the council boss to best performance.
