The Imo State Attorney General, Barr. Cyprian Akaolisa has been asked to vacate office with immediate effect, this was contained in a press release made available to Ikoro Okigwe on Monday,May,26,2025.

According to the statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Information,Public Orientation and Strategy, Declan Emelumba

“The Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, has approved the immediate removal from the office of the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr C .O. C Akaolisa”. It stated

The erstwhile commissioner was directed to hand over all government property under his care to the State Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary,Ministry of Justice, immediately.

Meanwhile there have been rumours flying around that the sacked of Barr. C.O.C Akaolisa maybe connected to a political statement credited to him recently over who occupies Imo Government House after Hope Uzodimma as Governor.

The sacked State Solicitor was quoted were he revealed  that Uzodimma’s successor must come from Camp Hope,as he dismissed Charter of Equity.

It will be recalled that this is the second time the Governor is sacking Akaolisa from office under his 3R administration, he was first sacked on May, 12,2021.
