… Ekomaru Pledges Govt resolve to partner with donor agencies

Imo State Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Lady Chinyere Ekomaru, on Friday received a team of international humanitarian organization comprising of the United Nations Children’s Fund,(UNICEF),and the World Health Organization, who were on a courtesy call in her office to intimate her of their programs in the State.
In her speech the Imo Deputy Governor, Lady Ekomaru, notified the team led by Nemat Hajeebhoy, Chief of Nutrition for UNICEF Nigeria, of State government’s intension in partnering with international donor agencies and of course well-meaning Imolites and as well Nigerians at large in elevating the standard of living of Imo people.
Ekomaru emphasized that the Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma and the wife the First Lady Barr. Chioma Uzodimma, are passionate people who has both the health, welfare, education of the people they are governing at hand, adding that the shared prosperity administration is committed in fixing every sector in the state which includes the health care sector were the administration have made tremendous impact on the lives of both the women, children in the society.

The number two citizen of the state reassured the international humanitarian organization of State government desire to support their activities especially that relates to fighting against threatening diseases among children and women in the society, she further said she will be present during the flagoff of one of their humanitarian events that hold in Imo soon.
Earlier in their speech Lady Nemat Hajeebhoy,(UNICEF), and the Executive Secretary of Imo State Primary Health Care Development Agency Rev. Sr. Dr. Maria Uzoma expressed their joy with the appointment of a female as Deputy Governor in the State, saying that it will assist in the championing of bettering the lives of women and their children in the State. They both extended invitation to the Deputy Governor for the upcoming launch of Human Papillomavirus, as a way of sensitizing the people about the virus in the State.
Those present at the courtesy call include, the Deputy Chief of Staff Office of the Deputy Governor Sir Tobechi Ekomaru, acting Principal Secretary Mr. John Njoku, and other Departmental Heads of the office.
