Uzoka-Anite Distributes First Lady’s Food Palliatives to Okigwe LGA

The Minister of State for Budget and Economic Planning, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, CFA, has distributed food palliatives to residents of Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State on behalf of the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON.
The distribution exercise, which took place on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the LGA Police Field, was carried out by the Minister’s distribution team as part of efforts to extend the Federal Government’s humanitarian intervention to vulnerable Nigerians at the grassroots.
Members of the distribution team included Hon. Joseph Anene, Orlu APC Zonal Youth Leader; Dr. Promise Okolie, State Coordinator of the Imo APC Youth League; and Admin (Amb.) Chukwuebuka Udeagha.
On arrival in Okigwe, the team delivered the goodwill message of Minister Uzoka-Anite to Pastor Sunday Chukwuemeka of Grace Chapel Global Reconciliation Ministries, Hon. Samuel Okereke, Leader of the Okigwe LGA Legislative Council, and Hon. Chukwunonye Anthony, a youth leader, who received the delegation.
Speaking during the exercise, members of the team explained that the food items were donated by the First Lady through Minister Uzoka-Anite as a gesture of appreciation to the people of Okigwe LGA for their support and loyalty.
They said the intervention was also in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda and the First Lady’s commitment to humanitarian initiatives aimed at supporting Nigerians, particularly vulnerable members of society.
Receiving the items on behalf of the LGA, Pastor Sunday Chukwuemeka expressed appreciation to Senator Oluremi Tinubu and Dr. Uzoka-Anite for remembering the people of Okigwe.
He commended the Minister for her efforts in ensuring that federal interventions and palliatives reach communities at the grassroots, describing the gesture as timely and impactful.
The clergyman also congratulated Dr. Uzoka-Anite on her appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, noting that her leadership at the federal level had contributed to initiatives from which communities in Imo State have benefited.
Pastor Chukwuemeka further applauded the First Lady for her humanitarian efforts and support for the Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that such interventions provide relief to Nigerians facing economic challenges.
He pledged the continued prayers of the church for the First Lady, Minister Uzoka-Anite and the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The event ended with a special prayer led by Pastor Chukwuemeka, seeking divine wisdom, direction, strength and protection for the First Lady, the Minister and the Renewed Hope administration.
